Hurricanes agree to one-year deal with Tlusty

05/28/2010 - Raleigh, NC (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Carolina Hurricanes have agreed to terms with forward Jiri Tlusty on a one-year contract worth $500,000.

Tlusty was acquired by the Hurricanes from Toronto last December in exchange for the rights to center Philippe Paradis. He went on to score one goal and add five assists in 18 games for Carolina.

The 22-year-old Czech native has appeared in 92 NHL games over parts of three seasons with the Maple Leafs and Hurricanes. He has 11 goals with 15 assists.

Tlusty was selected by Toronto with the 13th overall pick of the 2006 draft.
