Dodgers activate Weaver from disabled list

08/22/2010 - Los Angeles, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Los Angeles Dodgers have reinstated pitcher Jeff Weaver from the 15-day disabled list.

He was placed on the DL August 3 with tendinitis in his left knee.

The veteran right-hander is 5-1 with a 5.35 earned run average in 36 appearances this season pitching out of the bullpen.

To make room on the roster for Weaver, the team placed Travis Schlichting on the 15-day DL with right shoulder inflammation.

The rookie right-hander is 1-0 with a 3.57 ERA in 14 relief outings.
